S2-Arts is run by a mother and daughter team. S2 is simply an abbreviation of our names — Sanyukta (mother) and Swati (daughter). Swati is an autistic individual. Her motivation for being a part of S2-Arts is —
“Social interaction has been very challenging for me. I prefer communicating through my art. I am fortunate enough to be surrounded by wonderful people in my life. I would like to be a productive member of the society and give back. I feel that creating and disseminating art is calling of my life.”
Sanyukta truly appreciates the community support in raising her daughter. Her motivation for launching S2-Arts is —
“I am deeply moved by the struggles of individuals with disabilities in their daily lives and truly inspired by their fighting spirits and their perseverance. Many of these individuals are the most creative people that I know and they are looking for an outlet to share their talent with the world.”
S2-Arts is focused on helping artists from disadvantaged populations that are unable to showcase their art. We have created a portal for disseminating products based on art.
